HELPING HOMELESS YOUTH

IN OUR COMMUNITY

Assistance, Guidance & Care

WAIT House offers help to homeless youth in need, including emergency shelter, case management and goal planning, connections to services, and on-site life skills training and tutoring.

We also offer aftercare follow-up and support after leaving the emergency shelter, as well as healthy parenting and mentoring, education, and resources for parents with young children at no cost.

Since opening in 2003, WAIT House has provided shelter and services to more than 1,500 homeless youths and their families. WAIT House is staffed 24/7.

EMERGENCY SHELTER

Our homeless youth emergency shelter is staffed 24/7 and includes support, needs assessment and case management on-site.

FOR WOMEN

WAIT House’s Transitional Living Program for Homeless Youth is for homeless females who are pregnant, parenting, or without children.

FOR PARENTS

Early intervention and support gives parents the confidence, knowledge and tools for healthy and effective parenting. Offered at no cost.

HOUSING ASSISTANCE

Our permanent housing assistance program helps individuals and families of all ages locate and keep safe and affordable housing.

STREET OUTREACH

We do street outreach in Warren and Washington Counties, providing survival aid, education, shelter access, and crisis and case management services.
